Nissan Skyline ER34 - Radiator

Radiator and it's function.
The radiator was invented by Franz San Galli, a Polish-born Russian businessman living in St. Petersburg, between 1855-1857.

Radiators are heat exchangers used to transfer thermal energy from one medium to another for the purpose of cooling and heating. The majority of radiators are constructed to function in automobiles, buildings, and electronics. The radiator is always a source of heat to its environment, although this may be for either the purpose of heating this environment, or for cooling the fluid or coolant supplied to it, as for engine cooling.

Inside your cooling systemA vehicle's cooling system is designed to protect the engine from the destructive forces of too much heat. If the system isn't in good repair, simple tasks such as sitting idle in rush-hour traffic can cause a vehicle to overheat even when temperatures drop below the freezing mark.

Vehicles five years and older are prime candidates for cooling system troubles, troubles that could strike when least expected. Some experts report that cooling system service is most frequent on vehicles with more than 50,000 miles. However, these experts note that the mileage on a vehicle is not as big a factor in the maintenance of a cooling system as is the vehicle's age.

I had some problem with my Radiator recently. The top cover started to leak. Well took it to the mechanic to get it fixed. It does cost a fortune for me since I was having some bad financial term. Since, I had no other options rather than repair or replace the radiator.
After carefully weigh the pro's and con's of having new double layer radiator installed with the expences that going to incur to me I decided to repair my original radiator.

The series of pictures will tell some story by them self.
